AVmotional Platform presents and promotes outstanding artists and productions in the field of Audio-visual, Multimedia and Interactive Art, acting as a meeting point between local and international art scenes.The organization was founded in 2004 in Bucharest, by media artists Mihaela Kavdanska and Dilmana Yordanova, becoming one of the most articulated hypostases of contemporary urban culture in Romania and Eastern Europe.
In its 15 years of activity, tens of events were realized with the participation of over 100 invited artists from Romania, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, France, Italy, Slovenia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Austria, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Poland, Estonia, The Netherlands, Australia, United States, Japan and Indonesia. Over the years, AVmotional events included 3 editions of AVmotional Festival, the event series AVion, the launch of two AVmotional DVDs and other events like public talks, interactive performances, interactive art exhibitions, exchange programs & presentations. AVmotional have become a true platform for creation, production and promotion of projects located at the border between Art & Technology.
AVmotional furthered the development of close collaborations with artists from different fields as contemporary dance, electronic and acoustic contemporary music, etc., aimed to create a new trend on the Romanian Performing Art’ scene, where the interactive solutions come in support to develop new concepts & artistic visions.
